19168
The Rolex Oysterquartz Day-Date 19168 came several variants with combinations of diamonds, saphires and rubies. With a stone-setting look sometimes seen on custom jobs, the 19168 was delivered from the Rolex factory with baguette and brilliant cut stones on the bracelet and 44 curved baguette-cut stones on the bezel. With a very carachtersistic bracelet sometimes referred to as octopus bracelet, the 19168 BRIL, 19168 SAPH and 19168 RUBY sure had a style of its own.
Only seen in Rolex catalogs until the end of the 1980's/beginning of 1990's the 19168 is close to never seen for sale nowdays. When spotting one for sale nowdays, the production year is normally 1987.
